It was great seeing all those old pictures. I had many wonderful years at camp.

This is to inform those who do not know that Craig "Hoodie" Mendel who attended Tarigo in the 70's has passed away. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

As you can see, I've upgraded the look of our Website. We just passed over 12,300 hits from mostly former campers. So I guess people are still enjoying the site and it is helping old friends find each other. The program also removes @ and . from your email address so that spammers cannot use programs to gather them for spamming. If you have any other ideas about the site, please let me know.

I remember on the hikes back up the hill from town, the old camp truck would come along and we would all climb on. We probably could have walked faster then the truck went, but it was great at the time.

IN MY SENIOR YEAR I WAS COLOR WAR CAPTAIN AND GOT SICK AND MISSED THE TRIP TO COOPERSTOWN.

A late August visit to Fleischmanns - my first in many years - brought back boatloads of sweet memories. Another summer almost over, but I'll remember you guys forever!

I spent one, maybe two years at TA RI GO. I was reminded of it yesterday, when I saw the lyrics to "Hiking on the Highway", which I think was a song from TA RI GO.

I don't remember anybody, but I remember the cabins.

once again labor day weekend will be up on the land just before ta ri go camping we get 60 to 80 people running around stop by if your there sorry no milkbar just hotdogs

Happy 40th Anniversary. Was watching programs on Woodstock this weekend. It brought back memories of our 1969 senior boys group, "The Whiz Kids." What a great summer. Monty

Great memories. One years as a waiter and one as a counselor. I remember the walks up the hill after movie night in town. Tarigo's also where I got introduced to the Doors.(hearing "The End" at age 17 was a trip). Would appreciate hearing from anyone else around in those years.

just saw the GOLDBERG movie...was not aware that GERTRUDE BERG was born in FLEISCHMANNS, and is buried there.

I'm sure I've got great memories, if only I can remember them (now where did I put my keys?)

My 9 year old Grandson went off to Camp today and I just remembered Camp Ta-Ri-Go. Thought I would look it up and "wow". I'm 68 and can remember "Pacy"

"Good Days to You All"

I think back to my camp years with great pleasure. I remember standing on the porch of the arts and crafts building listening to the news about the A bombing of Hiroshima. I now have a home in Roxburt NY and pass Tarigo whenevr going or returning to NJ. My kids and grandkids use it in the winter and ski at Bellayre and Plattekill mountains. I guess I am one of the oldest Tarigo alumni.

My family had a vacation home in Fleischmanns in the 70's and 80's, and in the early 80's we stumbled upon Camp Tarigo while motorcycling through the woods. The camp at that time was still very much in-tact, but completely abandoned. We were always facinated with the camp, and the history of it, but were never able to find any information. It's really exciting to find this website. When we first discovered it we spent days exploring the camp. Over the years that followed the camp was vandalized and most of the camp equipment was subsequently stolen. And I was sad when the property was developed. Keep up the great website!

In 1960, the color war teams were the Vikings and Romans. The Vikings, led by Perry Koslow, won the war. Perry was a memorable general.
